Christine Farrell

My husband, Jim, and I celebrated our 40th anniversary last December and we have lived in Auburn all of those years. I taught for twenty-nine years; most of the time at Olympic Middle School teaching 7th Language Arts. Since we are both retired, we travel often but will always call Auburn home.
I like to garden, read, hike, play bridge, do crosswords and Sudoku's, and spend time with my grandchildren.

Jim and I have two daughters. Kate and her family live in North Bend. She and her husband have two children: Clara and Grady. Anne and her husband live in LA and have one daughter: Marni. Both of our daughters attended Auburn Schools and graduated from Auburn High School.

During my years in Auburn, I have been involved in the community and have particularly enjoyed my involvement with the food bank. Both Jack Laverty and Debbie Christian have been excellent executives and dedicated to the food bank. During my seven years on the board I have watched the food bank grow and change in order to better meet the needs of the clients.

Cyndi Rapier

3 grown sons, 2 daughter-in loves, and 2 granddaughters

JOB
My title is Director of Housing for International Programs, I have been with GRCC for 14 years. I am part of the Behavioral Interventions Team, International Student Success Council, Presidents Commission for Diversity and various other internal work teams.

PERSONAL
My maiden name is Celoni, my cultural background is Italian. So I love to cook and entertain in my home. I enjoy being involved in the local community as well as the international global community. We have hosted many students from many countries over the years. We still have contacts with many of them and when I retire I plan to travel and visit. I get to travel internationally a little bit thru my work and have been enriched by the opportunity. I have been involved in leadership at church for many years and take pleasure in ministry involving women, especially mentoring. The Food bank is near to my heart, for as long as I can remember I have been drawn to help feed the hungry. I had one time thought that I would have a soup kitchen one day. Even though Auburn was not my original home town I have grown to love it and think of it as such. It is a privilege and a pleasure to be working with the folks on the board of directors.

She became particularly interested in one of the Club's favorite projects - the Auburn Food Bank, then directed by Jack Laverty, a fellow Kiwanian.
